In my neverending quest to grow whatever the hell I can, I recently acquired and planted up the contents of a cacao pod. I now have about twenty 8" babies growing well.
These are, of course, the plants (trees?) where chocolate comes from.
They need to be shade grown, and they like warm temps and fairly moist soil. I'm guessing they'd do great as an indoor plant in colder climes.
Also, I have numerous purple passion fruit babies. These grow into lovely vines, with beautiful flowers and delicious fruit. I believe that the plants also act as a VERY mild MAOI; much better as a mellow sleep aid rather than as a power-base for any psychic journey. You'd need bushels. These like a lot of sun.
I'll be happy to bare-root send these out, if anyone's interested. Trades are very welcome, but if you've got nothing, then that's fine too.
