Title: Entheogens for Shady Areas
Post by: RedDragon2 on March 07, 2010, 12:42:53 PM
I would like to get some feedback on which entheogens would do well in a shady area (max 4 hours direct sun per day)

So far i have compiled these:
P viridis
Caapi (tolerate part shade when young, like more sun as they age)
Kratom (tolerate part shade when young, like more sun as they age)
Ginseng
Heimia salicifolia
Belladonna
Nutmeg
San Pedro (part shade when young)
Wormwood
Lobelia inflata

if anyone has an adjustments to the above selections or some to add, please!
 :)

hmmm.. my heimia loves sun, infact it does not grow very well in anything less than full sun.(the leaves turn a really light shade of green/yellow and are not the right shape when it does not get enough sun)

My kratom (which only lasted 2 years) did not like being in low light. It would start losing leaves, which resulted in it dying over winter. Could be other factors, and you should still try growing it if you're interested, but after 2 plants not making it to the 3rd year, I think I'm giving up on growing that here.

Brugmansia seems to do well in low light too, I had huge plants when I lived in a non-sunny place.

yeah brugs are amazing as long as the temp is not below like 50 and they get some water they are fine low light, full sun, or almost no light.
