I just saw some bits of the opening seremoni, have to see moore on youtube.
Anyway until then. maybe some of saw it. Some part was clearly some humans acting suprised under a UFO, and later a woman sang or danced in front of a big full-moon, and her shaddow was as big as the moon, and covering it.
The fire was a combination of four flames, of two crossing fire 'sticks' and one laying over the middle of the X, burning benit, and the fourth flame above them all standing straight.
I actually mostly think the opening seremoni's are a bit strange but this is the winnerby far. Anyhow :smoke2:
i loved the Four Nations totem poles and drum ceremony. Hope that youtube can show me the rest. I heard that kd lang's Hallelujah was amazing.
I didn't watch the opening ceremonies. However, It sounds like some of the competitors on the luge course are pissed at the officials. Preliminary runs were coming in at about six seconds faster that track records before the guy from Georgia got killed on his second practice run. And now some people are mad as hell because they claim the IOC should have seen it coming and complaints had prolly been lodged before the unfortunate accident. (The guy left his luge after slamming into a corner at about 90 mph and hit an unpadded cement column.)
