Boooosh
Bound to happen eventually, what with this being right on the tail of those spice gold herbal smoking blend busts. I just wonder what the charge is.... that stuffs not illegal is it?
Do not know about Sacred Journeyandf K2...BBB more to the point, 2nd link has the charges.
Yeah, just realized that.
Sounds like he was mixing business with pleasure.
This is really disheartening... From most accounting I have read; people seemed to find BBB a great place to get quality products from. That said; if I read the charges correctly, it appears to me that the gentleman had some extracted compounds laying about... Not too swift.......
I'd be surprised if he was manufacturing..more likely he had some compounds laying about and they are trying to stick manufacture onto him, when that really is not the case. Whats more it seems they are trying to charge him with distribution of compounds where infact it is the plants he was selling. Not sure about over in the U.S.A but over here in the U.K there is a distinction between the plant and the drug. Police have tried bringing charges agasint cactus in the past but it was thrown out inpre trial hearings. We will have to see how this goes lets hope he can get off these charges, does not look pretty though.
Booosh
While I do so hope the outcome for BBB is a good one, I don't read the criminal counts as just a raid on an herbal supplier to make a splash while seizing substances that may or may not contain any usable and or extractable, controlled 'drugs'... Take a close look at the first three charges.. It alleges that the defendant possessed a number of scheduled no no's.. The subsequent charges go on and on about possessing plant materials that they insist the guy was going to use to acquire illegal entheogens.... Am I missing something here, or projecting my own mindset???... Or do those first three chargings seem to indicate that extracted goods were found???... Here's hoping the guy has a really good legal team....
BTW.. Over at the DMT-Nexus they have a long thread about this and Jons' father is participating in the thread...
Yeah, raw deal this is. Could open the flood gates......... again. Better buy/trade your plant starts soon folks.

Not necessarily. Fact of the matter is that plants are just as illegal as chemicals, and "growing" is the same as "manufacturing."
Sad, but true.
There's also a good thread at the Ayahuasca forums, in the legal section.
