Title: ID Cactus
Post by: Zaka on July 10, 2009, 06:39:51 AM
Irie,
So I was unexpectedly in a modern supermarket, last night, with a small gardening section & I see this guy.
After some confusion about the price managed to get it for $8. Seemed like a good deal.
Problem is the label was not there....
So I have no idea what it is????

Irie PF,
I guess you would know..........I searched it and found a site Mammillaria Forum.....that had a list of Mammillaria.
Wikkid list! Thanks.
My only question  is that it's looks like the Mammillaria are more button type cacti.
This sucker is already nearly 4in tall, 2in wide and looks more like a columnar type.
I can't believe that it's more than 3-4 yrs old, looks to be seed grown.
Any idea if any of them grow tall??
Respect

The Seedling can also grow very tall if they don´t had enough light.
I think they want the cacti´s grow fast.
Quality is not the idea of a commercial cactigrower.  :tea:
