Here is one of my potted williamsi. I am interested in Peyote, San Pedro and Peruvian Torch and grow them from seed. Looking to exchange hints and tips.
Pretty. Looks well taken care of. I'm guessing 8 year old?..... or is she a grafter...
file comment says ~25 years old. if it is 25 years old id save it.
I have to be honest, the reason I got interested in sacred cactus is for the effect mescaline has/had on my psychology. However, the longer I have had my 3 big peyote the less I want to harvest them. Im told they will grow back if done right but it still doesn't seem right. Thats the reason for getting into growing. After a few years I find I am quite into it, a bit like an obscure nerdy hobby.
so is the first one u submitted here 25 or 8?
25, I've owned it since 2000 13 buttons, the main one, 5 smaller ones and 7 tiny ones
Eat it :D Thats what you grew it for. If you remove the buttons correctly itwill regrow.
Or if you are concerned how about remove a few buttons and see how it regrows before removing a few more.

I was allowed to vote again, this time I voted for you to eat it. What have you done since April?
Nothing, they're still growing, flowering again and one has a small seed pod appearing.
You should consider perhaps doing a little grafting, though I couldn't tell you if this is a good time of year to do it.
