American Beauty - Grateful Dead
Trout Mask Replica- Captain Beefheart
A Love Supreme- John Coltrane
'Round Midnight- Miles Davis
Beatles - Too hard to pick one, every one of them is a classic
Dylan- the same thing but I favor the ones from Highway 61 Revisited through Nashville Skyline
Quicksilver Messenger Service- 1st one
Any thing from Motown
Any thing from Bob Marley
Sail On- Muddy Waters
Tower of Power- Tower of Power (the 3rd one)
Axis:Bold As Love- Jimi Hendrix
The Band- The Band
Thats What I Say - John Scofield (The only one less then 30 years old)
I have too many favorites of too many genres and sub-genres, but here is one that I noticed happens to reside on all of my MP3 players and USB drives...
"Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" - The Flaming Lips
I still don't quite understand it as it seems to be about something different every year that I listen to it. I know that it kind of evokes futuristic imagery through a fog of nostalgia.
A few more
By the Light of the Moon- Los Lobos
Robbie Robertson- Robbie Robertson
Saucerful of Secrets- Pink Floys
From the land of the electronic (but not the Oon-tsss Oon-tsss Oon-tsss), I bring you the Warp label:
Black Dog Productions: Spanners
Boards of Canada: Music Has The Right To Children
Squarepusher: Feed Me Weird Things
Plaid: Rest Proof Clockwork
Autechre: Incunabula
Aphex Twin: Selected Ambient Works II
Each awesome (well, IMO), each sounding very, very different from the other. If you think you don't like electronic music, I challenge you to give a solid listen to at least a coupla these.

sigur Ros is a damn fine choice I'd have to admit.
As for pick of all time, nothing comes to mind. I could listen to a album a hundred times and love it right up till the bitter end, but I'd still eventually get sick of it. I almost get nauseous thinking of how many times it took banish forever the eagles 'hotel california album from my head.
However if I was to get burried with a album in the hopes of it getting dug up in a thousand years to be listened to anew it might be....
