Title: predosing Amanita with Datura
Post by: jokergrin on January 21, 2009, 01:41:32 PM
Because the following two plants and chemicals therein are legal, I will discuss them freely.  However, because one or both are dangerous and are to be respected, I do not advocate experimenting with them unless you know what you are doing.

So...I have been reading reports regarding Amanita muscaria and the excessive salivation that comes with it.  Then I was thinking of one of my favorite plants Datura tatula, and how its anticholinergic effects produce very dry mouth and inhibit perstalsis (protecting against nausea).  So, what do you all think about dosing a small amount of smoked/ingested datura before partaking in Amanita tea?  This should disspell any bouts of nausea, vomiting, and excessive sweating and salivation.

And of course, the dose makes the poison, so it should be in controlled amounts, of which the person is already familiar.

I don't think there will be any potentiation with the two entheogens, either, as they work on completely different receptor sites and have different actions...

comments?  thoughts??
