Folks, we need some topics for discussion. Any ideas?
I suggest "so you want to listen to ________" threads. Personally, I have aninterest in getting into music genres I have little knowledge of, or listening to the "unknown greats", but don't know where to start.
People could start threads as specific as the works of a given artist (what works to start with, what yo work up to, "if you like them, you might also like....") or as general as a whole genre (origins, masters of said genre, explaining differences between sub-genres).

how about profoundest experience with entheogens and music...live shows...albums...most joyful, most terrifying, most spiritual...best lay to music while you and your partner were tripping? eh?
Best lay whilst tripping eh??? --- Well, I gotta tell 'ya, when my ex and I used to reside in N. Cal in the distant past (circa 1970).... It used to be our psychedelic passion to run up to 'da Haight, score some Owsley and then head back to our den of iniquity in Sacramento... Once there, we'd partake of the sacrament.... We'd each don a set of headphones, but each would be listening to different music....Once we came under the spell of the sacrament, we'd begin our psychedelic-sexual gymnastics.......... I must say, 'twas a nice way to while away the evening  --------- sal

I heard Genesis tried to get Peter Gabriel to get back together for this year's tour. Unfortunately, it didn't pan out and the Phil Collins Trio is coming around this fall. don't get me wrong, I really love Genesis and can live without Peter if I have to, but GOD, what if???
Phil Collins Trio?? The horror!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the one hand you got Peter gabriel the other Phil Collins, whats wrong with this picture?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
LOL! When Phil isn't busy being Phil, Genesis can really rock. I remember seeing them years ago at Merriweather post Pavilion. He would rock out on the drums, run up front, sing, run back.
They played a lot of old stuff that night... Supper's Ready is one I remember. It was a good show.
After seeing the Who, I am curious how they would do.
