Title: Dutch Shroom Prohibition Species List Caused by Me
Post by: boomer2 on December 27, 2008, 11:49:44 AM
I just received, yesterday, a letter from my colleague, Dr. Tjakko Stijve, of Nestles (retired) with some photos of Coprinus atramentarius (a species with inky cap-like antibuse effects), two images of Psilocybe cyanescens from a malled mulched garden in the center of Vevey, Switzerland, and a card photograph of Psilocybe aeruginosa by Garrit Keizer.

Dr. Stijve is one of the world's leading experts in trace elements in fungi and micro fungi, especially after Chernobyl and has published about ten papers on hallucinogenic psilocybian mushrooms as well as cultivation of edibles such as the medicinal Agaricus blazei. Dr. Stijve also provided for me, chemical analysis for several species in papers published in my name.

Here is Dr. Stijve's letter to me.

He notes that the new law prohibiting psilocybian mushrooms species in the Nederlands was based on my paper with Gaston Guzman and Jochen Gartz and the list of 180 psilocybian mushrooms now illegal in the Nederlands was compiled from my published works.

However, Dr. Stijve is Dutch and he noted that the Mayor (Maire) of Amsterdam said that he probably will not go after people with mushrooms as he has higher priorities to tend to.

Here below is Dr. Stijve's letter to me. Read the sentence on the left side of the page going up and down:

The actual first page of my Journal article of the neurotropic species:

Old P. cyanescens (November, 2008) from mall in center of Vevey, Switzerland (the fifth year of their appearance in this wood chipped garden.

And finally a picture of Coprinus atramentarius (an inky cap) with toxic-antibuse effects when taken with alcohol:

I apologize that my list of species which is now being ready to be republished with even more new psilocybian mushroom species was implemented in providing the Dutch law the incentive for proscribing the prohibited species now illegal in the Nederlands.

what can ya do?
stay silent?
not say a word?
keep information esoteric?

i mean what's a person to do?
Fear genuine investigation and reporting one's findings for fear of how the world will use it?
boomer, what can you do?
maybe one day, in other times, the information that you published will serve to reverse the Dutch decision.
