Post by: Anonymous on November 21, 2008, 12:48:19 PM
So I just got this "book"...

SACRAMENTAL AND MEDICINAL CACTI

(Peyote, San Pedro and other Ethnopharmacological Cactaceae)

Michael S. Smith (2003)

But when I got it, it's only like bound computer paper... is there a real BOOK? Or is this this????

Hi there. Mike Smith used to post regularly at this forum and you *could* try messaging him here:

There's an email link but I haven't tried it.

Well the paper bound book is all there is as it is such a limited seller anything nicer would be more costly.  I really have to spend the time and make some revisions on the Trichocereus stuff in particular (my own personal theories), but otherwise the book is still up to date on all the other taxa.  I don't make but a couple hundred every two or three years on the book...which I usually will take as store credit to buy other books, but I suspect at some point after I make revisions I will open it up to be posted at anyones site who wants it.  But honestly, it's winter, and my interest goes dormant with my cactus.

Well I'd just like to thank you for producing such a comprehensive and informative book Mr.Smith! You really did your research! I would call this book "excellent".
