Yes, this one is much better put together than the last one, and more believable.

While the last one had some possible good points, I felt some of the credibility of the first edition was undermined by BS.

I wonder how true addendum is.  Does America really send in economic hitmen?  The US's agencies assassinate foreign leaders for corporate America?  It might just be too strange for fiction!

I thought the 'BS' in the first film was kinda the point - but I might be thinking of another film. I am sure Bushpig can elaborate or correct ;)

Both films give good education on the functioning of banks but everything else I find to be bullshit.

Hey folks !

Well, firstly I posted these links as I have found them 'of interest' and of probable interest to other folks, however that is not to say I endorse or agree with everything within them.  It has been sometime since I saw the first zeitgeist film, I found it pretty good, I am sure there are some innacuracies in it though the idea I feel it was trying to convey is in general true, that various christian stories have occured throughout history in times before christianity, and that the war on terror was far from the story given in mainstream media, and thirdly that the financial system we use is somewhat maladaptive at best and a damn right con more like it.  Though some of the specific examples they gave may well be debatable or rebutted I still see the overall theme are fairly informative.

The 2nd film, and the link that I posted follows on from the financial system section that it left of from in the original.  For those familiar with the banking system, fractional  reserve and debates regarding usury then the first part of zeitgeist addendum holds nothing new.  The 2nd half tries to discuss appropriate action and features The 'venus project'

http://www.thevenusproject.com/ (http://www.thevenusproject.com/)

The venus project comes over a bit better in the film but when I started reading up on their website I was not as impressed.  It is a utopian think tank essentially, and although the founder does not confess to this being original material of his own I do not see much 'real' implementation of what he proposes, and although you may think 'well thats why they featured it to gain support' if you look at the images of his research centre it does not look like much has changed since the 60's.  The 'research centre' site is currently for sale and it looks more like he is trying to sell some phamplets....I felt myself more inclined to stick with earthship biotecture for this sort of implementation than a 'think tank'.

Half of the above is probably nonsense unless you have watched the vid or view the website.

So, on one side it seems that the zeitgeist films are trying to educate people on the issues we face, however one must be careful as to what they really take from it.  It is plausible that such stuff is produced to get such inclined folks watching it, but to then divert or bend the outcome down a different route of confusion !

I don't know, I don't make the rules.............or do I ?

P.S, and yes I see the 'economic hitman' as very much the case.  For many of us here the stuff contained is quite obvious, I guess a non skeptical view would be that they are trying to give this information out to a wider audience.  There is probably some good in that.
