That is a super shot! Very well done, both the photo and of course the grow. Then to say nothing of having a rare strain and all that. Keep up the good work.

Hi to the_chosen_one,

Tried to post this in your pm but it would not work.

Those are awesome and Kudos on the fantastic cultivation of this species.

A question since I could not get a pm to you.

QuoteI was wondering if you might allow me to use your photo of P. semperviva at my site and on my cd-rom cultivation book?

I would be more than will to give you a free copy of the Cultivation History CD-Rom and later a receive a free copy of my "Teonanácatl: A Bibliography of Entheogenic Fungi," co-authored by Dr Jochen Gartz.  This cd-rom contains over 1000 photographs8 inches high with thumbnails, 2800 references regarding psilocybian mushrooms, 1800 annotations and more than 8500 cross-references.

John

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

The cultivation cd has images not on my site from some of the Greatest never before seen cultivation images of magic mushrooms ever assembled on a single cd-rom,  plus it is 214 pages of hundreds of in vitro and indoor as well as outdoor cult from a single mushrooms grown on petri plates to 200 pound tiers of cubes, Copes and Pan Subbs and Sclerotia grown in the Nederlands.

Quote from: "roach"Love the pic! What are they growing on?

-roach

thank you!

all of these pics are PF style substrate with ground hulled millet replacing the brown rice.
the casing is a 30/30/40 mix.. 30% peat, 30% vermiculite and 40% cactus soil.
the cactus soil adds a superior amount of protection against casing contaminations..
which is good for this species being that it is so long lived. most casings take about 6 months to finish flushing.

here's a few more pics. i'll be adding more though the day as i get time.. sorry working :(

MJ, i mean Boomer2, ;)

of course you can use any of my pics at any time. always a pleasure.
let me know if you see any at other sites you like that may not be posted here as well.
lol, i tend to forget what is where!
i can also send you higher resolution pics on disc if needed. it's a short trip across the Sound ;)

thanks again!

and much love!

Hi chosen_one.

Thanks.
The images are, as I noted, awesome photography.

The stems ae beautiful and the caps show the striated margin.

I do need a few extra P. caerulescens images for both the bibliography and
for the ID section and cult section at my site.

However, I do have a lot of Workman's photos but they are for a large paper by me and five other authors with DNA, chemistry,
cultivation and SEM work I did and Some of the Cultivation I grew and other was contributed to the paper by Workman and
Spore Works so I basically cannot post them at my site or in the books since the publications have not yet appeared in print.

Look for my new post on the new species of Psilocybe form New Mexico.

AS I have not been able to post images here for some reason, something with my computer or cookies, I can
only post some text and the name.  However,  There is a good page at both the shroom hunting forum at shroomtalk.com
and at mycotopia.net on the new species with sketch of the new mushroom species, closely related to and macroscopically
looks like wood chip varieties of p. stuntzii.

Again, Thanks for the loan of the images. I will post a message here when I put them on the site and later, about a month to two,
hopefully before Christmas, I will be finished with the revision of the bibliography. I am hoping that Jonathan Ott will write an updated
forward to the book as he wrote the original. Now it has gone from 40 megabytes to over 200 and I am only a little over have finished.

So if you have any nice P. caerulescens images, let me know.

I also have a new 14-page article of a review of Andy Letcher's book Shrooms in the latest issue of FMRC.
The book is not well received in the UK or Europe, but is a little popular here in the USA.  It has many distortions and bits of
incorrect information about mushrooms which I detailed page by page.

And
have in press a paper with shroomy day on P. ovoideocystidiata on the chemistry and SEM work, another on P. villarrealaie, and then my paper (140 pages)
with five other authors.

Oh yes, the paper on the new compound: Psilosamuiensin A from Psilocybe samuiensis

And watch soon for about 100 new photos for the Nederlands in a series of three trips in ten years to the county of legal shrooms and their
cultivation.

awesome work as always boomer2!!!
i would love to see any links, books and disc's! keep me posted indeed! :D

unfortunately, i have yet to try the p. caerulescens.. but once i do, rest assured i will send or post pics.

i am currently working with a huge care package sent by cactu so hopefully, in the near future, i'll be
able to provide pics of many other rare and endangered mexican species.

here's a shot of some of the first semper spores.. sorry, foil got a little krinkled lol. had to decrease the
size of the file as well.

thanks again everyone!
