Title: Delete All My Posts
Post by: Anonymous on August 23, 2008, 12:00:05 AM
Please delete all my posts.

I bet they take up alot of space.

Just delete them and then I'll make better, shorter, few threads.

Just please tell me before you do this.

teo,

deleting all your posts when you've had responses makes the threads meaningless.
So, if you don't like what you've said, you could edit your posts.

Also, check your posts. What are your edit options? You might be able to delete your own work, if that's what you really want.

I will say this once more Teo but not again (already said in PM that he didn't bother reading) -

Posts are text, text takes up almost no space on a hard drive. Asking to delete all your posts because they take up space is like asking to remove your money from the bank because they might run out of room. Take a look around at the file storage sites I mention in another thread (here (//http://www.spiritplants.org/long-house-f1/topic3543.html#p24297))... I mean they are giving away storage space for free nowadays.

Please read this about caching (//http://www.spiritplants.org/long-house-f1/topic3489.html#p24001).
Google and a number of other search engines have stored all the posts here and keep them on their hard drives as cached pages. Once you post something on the net, it is basically a permanent record weather you like it or not.

In short, deleting your old posts here only does one thing... it makes the threads you posted in not make much sense since people actually replied to your posts. I mean would this post I am typing make any sense to someone in a month or a year if you deleted all your posts in it?

I most certainly did read your PM just as I read any PM a mod sends me.
