Title: Maria Sabina's Mistake by Martha Singer
Post by: boomer2 on August 03, 2008, 12:05:15 AM
This article appeared in the journal of the North American Mycological Society, McIlvainea volume 7 Number 1 pages 17-19.

It was written by Martha Singer, the wife of American Mycologist the Late Rolf Singer of the University of Chicago who with Alexander H, Smith wrote the first monograph on the genus Psilocybe and also wrote The Agaricales in Modern Taxonomy.  That is the definitive taxonomic book on mycology.

This article is a little biased towards Wasson and hippies in general.

but an enjoyable read.
