always good to hear from fellow trekkies!!
I myself loved next generation and the oldies
in the sixties, enterprise i havent seen much of.

My father really got me into the whole Star Trek thing. I believe he even went to some conventions, although thats where I draw the line. Just not my thing.

I neither am no fanatic Sometimes its quite intriguing what they bring up,
even serious, the casting is great , well i find..and i could still get a laugh out of the 80's film, "The Voyage Home"

Oh, man. I disagree Avery. Star Trek is one of those rare examples of illuminated pop culture. Gotta have been heads involved in all the series.
Many shamanic themes, especially in the later series.

One of my favorites was the one where Picard was stuck on a planet with the alien soldier. His language was was built from mythic references, every situation had an archetype.

Good stuff, it works on many levels

Ha!.... was just hassling.  Am a broad spectrum sci-fi fan myself.  Star Trek is great stuff.

still........ is easy to point out the geeks! :shock:

Actually, now that you mention it, Heinlien wrote several stories that ended up on star trek.  The Trouble with Tribbles comes to mind....

Yep, had a sci-fi book in my back pocket most all the time growing up and through my wavy gravy days too. :D

Oh hey and your welcome for the heinlien.... I forget which one I sent you.  Did yah scope that 52'astounding science fiction rag?...... Have got a small stack of em that are in fair shape I picked up at the annual boise puplic library sale years ago.  I just love browsing through them.
