Title: Death Penalty
Post by: senorsalvia on July 23, 2008, 12:32:19 PM
I have always stated that I am against the death penalty..    I find myself rethinking my position as it regards to those charged with crimes against humanity...  (like the guy Rodonavitch) or whatever his name is, that the Serbian police just caught.....  I know stuff like serial killers etc is bad, but I don't think it warrants the ultimate sanction, on the other hand, people like Saddam / Hitler / this Rodanovitch dude make me seriously consider the position that death is a just reward for such atrocities...  What do 'tha peeps feel????

I agree with the death penalty, being from texas think it might be mandatory. I do believe the upmost care must be used when deciding who we deem so unrehabilitatable that we must permanently remove them from general population. I more disagree with life without the possibility of parole, as in what is the point if they are that bad, why keep them around.

If one lives in a jurastiction that practices the death penalty, they are just as guilty of the murder as the judge and jury, unless they storm the gas chamber with a sledgehammer.

Yeah well, then what if one lives in the US of A what do you propose????   Think of all the laws that congress and the house pass that the average person (1) does not even hear about or know of (2) that depending who you are, you may or may not support.... Some folks might be totally opposed to abortion, for instance; but, it's legal...Sure, I can hear it now, fok wil cry out  ""if you don't like the laws, then vote to change them""  true / simple in thoeory / 'cept I long ago stopped believing we live in a truly representative government....  BTW, if I have not welcome you aboard yet......"hey Lucious,,, glad to see 'ya, hope you enjoy the place'..................
