Title: Spore delivery
Post by: adidas on June 20, 2008, 04:33:29 PM
Hi guys, i'm from argentina and want to know where i can get spores to grow my shrooms, i heard there is a company (europe based, i guess) that sends prints or syringes all over the world, but since i couldn't find it on google i thought maybe one of you knew something about it.

thanks a lot

There are a lot of companies but I have not dealt with any recently so I can't recommend one. I think spores are legal in the USA except in certain states. Bushpig is in europe, try asking him. He is moderator of the cave. A print is easy to send and can go in a letter bypassing customs. A syringe may run into more problems along the way.

spores101.com is in Canada, they ship anywhere int he world.  Workman at sporeworks.com,  The hawkseye.com site. All are honest vendors with great strains of cubes.

Cheers for the plug Stoney but I currently do not have any prints, and have not cultivated in some time.  I am sure asking about in the trade forum may be fruitful though,

Psilocybe cubensis grows from manure in Argentina.  Rainy season is coming soon I think. You should go out with the Rancheros and Campaneros and scour the fields and pasture lands of your beautiful country.

Yeah, just cut the tops off and put them gill side down on clean paper. Put something over them like a bowl or something to keep dust off. You will end up with fairly clean prints after a few days. Take paper from the center of a pack and it should be clean.

There are tecs to clean up a contaminated spore print. Spreading the spores out on agar, letting them grow and selecting the colonies you want and transfering them to fresh agar will usually work.

great info on making my own prints  :D
I'll try the trade forum and check out all those sites, I know spores are legal here as well since they have no chemicals on their own, but i leanrt that it was much easier to make it with a syringe, and that with a print i would have to put it into a syringe to be able to use it.

mushroom season is in spring here, which starts in september, and i haven't had any experience with shrooms so i don't trust myself enough in recognising them, still i'm going out to chase cebúes as soon as heat comes again.

Sporeworks.com is legit!
Plus they do a lot of development work, with grow techs etc from what I've seen- so you're supporting good people too.

On the contaim note, I've never heard of problems with their stuff, I know that Workman knows his stuff!

Probably you mean the Free Spore Ring Europe (www.fsre.nl (http://www.fsre.nl))? :)
