Yeah this guy really put his life on the line... so to speak.
He could have tried for a lighter sentence but instead, he has argued against the legitimacy of the laws themselves.
Please take a little time to read up on his case if you haven't.
And if you can't donate, maybe send a letter/postcard with some thoughts.
I'm sure he could use the moral support too.

Another important lesson from this situation is that a former college Snitched on him. This goes to show that if you're going to do something as illegal or high risk as this, that it's best not to let anyone know!
The person that told on him had a DEA license or something and he would have lost his career studying psychedelics himself, if he didn't snitch. To me that sounds like some bullshit that the police say to people to scare them, but who know - Maybe the victim will/has forgiven this person - who knows. However my opinion is that if this snitch were party to illegal activities, they should have been additionally willing to take the penalty for such activities.
I wish this man the best of luck in his fight - it's too bad that so far he's come across more close minded people there.
