Malcom X was gunned down four decades ago today... I can still clearly remember seeing him on T.V.... He had a true knack for sticking it to 'da man.... It was great watching the white establishment trying so desperately to overcome him during interviews; only to become agitated, frustrated, and totally outclassed by a true revolutionary/thinking/black man..... Gotta love the hint of thinly veiled chaos promised by his infamous "By ANY Means Neccessary" remark---- You Go Malcom :!: --senorsal

Still, to read and see of his transformation from criminal, to rebellious leader to simply a leader is amazing and wins my respect.
and yet...
he was kicked out of nation of islam after his pilgrimage to mecca (& beginning to turn to something a good deal closer to "real" islam (as compared to the stuff that elijah muhammed was dealing out back then))...
it was when he started preaching that unity was possible that he was killed (& the gunmen were almost certainly sent from NoI HQ...)

Yep, 'ya got that right G-23... All the old articles at the time pretty much came out and stated that The Nation of Islam took him out because he was the heir apparent to the throne, and would set a course that turned away from black nationalism (ala Elijah Mohhamed), and head toward a path of actual racial and spiritual harmony, being very much more inclusive of diversity.......... {sure the meek shall inherit the earth-they'll get planted in it} :? ------------ senorsal
