Hi all--
As most of you know, I do a weekly radio show on SpiritPlants Radio. Until recently, SPF member Alfie kept the stream going the rest of the time, so it would not be dead air otherwise. Alfie is currently unable to do this, and the station needs someone else to step up, who is willing to stream 24/7 when shows are not on air. I can't do it, my system is not fast enough to handle this task for much of the time, though I've done my best til now.
If someone wants to this, and they could do a show as well, please let me know. Andy has generously provided us with this station, we need to make sure we use it.
I'm especially wanting to put a lot of psychedelic music on the airwaves, Dead shows, Floyd, zeppelin, electronica, speeches and talks by McKenna, Leary, etc.
It's sad to check on the stream-- http://yage.net:9000/ (http://yage.net:9000/) --and see "server is down," please help!
Kemp is taking over the radio stream for awhile at least for the weekend, and is spinning Pink Floyd for hours and HOURS!!! :twisted:
Well, is that not nice of him or what, at least it wont stall and sputter out hopefully.
I'd also like to give a big big enthusiastic urge for people to tune into cenacles show, and SPF radio in general, send out the link to friends etc and tune in yourself. Cenacles show is the main show at the moment and deserves more support ( it's worth a listen ) !
Also ( annd im guilty of saying I'd do one but have not ) if anybody wants to do a show, there's plenty of airtime available. Pop into chat during a cenny show and discuss it !

Cenacle's show is a good one! Almost every saturday at 7pm BST, which is 2pm EST I still think he should have done a live broadcast from Burning Man, well maybe next year
I'd be down to stream once I get another hd. The 2 I have now r jam packed atm. I'll let ya's kno when I get a new one I can dedicate to mp3's! :)

i'm gonna get my mic sorted and get some shows together, must check out your show cen - not enough cash to do much else on a saturday night at the moment, and i'm sure it'd be a much more fruitful experience than dredging tv-links... :)
Haha Psilly! My show isn't on this weekend, per chance you check, because I am in the midst of moving from Seattle, Washington to Portland, Oregon, but I'll be on air next weekend. It would be great to involve you in the project! We need to talk more about this....

Im streaming ;p I also have a plugin to allow peeps to request songs via a web page obv secret info is needed here so someone should pm me.
I also have a spoken word playlist but as has been discussed i could break the spoken word into daily themed shows.
Ideas?
GM--I think a John Lilly/Terence McKenna/Alan Watts/Etc groove in the stream would be fantastic, just the kind of radio we should be putting out there, educating the masses on the seed and molecules we favor :) also some old shows of Floyd, Zep, Dead, etc, and some nice electronica mixed in...

Yea, Im really liking the 247 stream, its nice to come home after a long night of work or a night out and chill with some music, i vote for some downtempo chill as well on the stream
Well I am repeating what I did last week, ie comedy up to cens show and I will stream spoken word and poetry on Sunday. I got a a high of 9 peeps for the spoken word so seem popular. I am going to go through the music playlist and remove some of the odd stuff (unless anyone else likes GWAR).
I have another tb of storage and a new pc on the way so will be able to get the SAMs broadcaster software set up - then the 24/7 stream will be a jukebox so can cater for all tastes. I am definatley up for lots of classic stuff like floyd and so on and found some dead shows on the net archive the other day searching for stuff for deoxys media wiki so could run some of those - maybe midweek.
SAMs will also let me do my own shows so I intend to dig out my old notes and ideas and get something going while I have some holiday from uni.
