We still get some bot registrations and although they appear as members they can't post at all.
Every so often a bot slips thru my net (well, only once so far) and if I am unsure I will leave the authentication for a day or so coz the bots scripts seem to only activate if their registration is authenticated in a certain time-frame. I am alert to when this script gets advanced too, so no worries folks.
I am asking someone to remove the 'newest member' feature so it doesn't look so lame and I am sure many forum owners are constantly working to be rid of these marketing ploys.
I knew you were on top of things, Cassie. You seem to have the bots in check.
Thanks cass, it would be awful to wait a whole day to become a member but if that's what it takes then so be it.
