Title: how to take cuttings kratom

how can i make cuttings from the kratom plant. can it be done the same way as by Psychotria viridis by a leaf cutting. :idea:

Kratom is very difficult to make clones from. I'd say the best way is air layering. A few people have claimed success with bubblers but they didn't work for me. A bubbler is an air bubbler in water that throws a spray of water on the stems held above.

I would agree with Stonehenge and try air layering.  I've taken long braches,  partially cut them, and buried with the tip sticking out.  I've gotten a couple to root that way.

Just an update.  A couple of months ago I Injured and buried 6 branches of one of my kratom plants.  The results as of two days ago, 1 dead, 2 unrooted, 3 with lots of roots.  Not bad results for the effort involved.
