Last night, I was listening to Michael Savage (Savage Nation) radio talk show, and he had an analysis as to why he feels that Hillary Has no chance in the upcoming elections.... Now, while I do not agree with Savage on almost any issue; I must say that I always admired his intellect, intelligence, mastery and command of the language, etc... After all, he has managed to get himself 2 doctorates, writes 25 some odd books etc. here is what just floored me; had me in incredulous amazement at the thought processess of "the right".... Savage went on a rant about how the female candidate for the French presidency was beaten handily by a consevative.. It was his assessment that France being more leftist leaning than AmeriKKKa in general, had realized that the left was perpetuating an economical calamity, that although the woman (forgot her name) had repeatedly reminded her fellow females that she was a woman and they should vote for her, that France had spoken with a loud voice rejecting progressive platforms, rejecting labor, and embracing conservatism..... While I was somewhat dismissive of his take on events, I was shocked when he told a caller that he saw this as a death knell for Hillarys chances; that the entire free world at large was sending a message that conservatism had at last become the center, and rightfully so, and that AmeriKKKa would elect a conservative Pres, and go on to some form of zippadeedodah existance, sheparded by a pres and cabinet that knew how to apply conservative principals... We'd become a hot dog economic miracle, end abortion, send gays running, ad nauseaum.... My Lord.... do those people honestly believe such things :shock: ------- sal

Actually the only reason I tolerate the guy is because I generally only have to put up with him for less than an hour before Coast To Coast AM comes on; then it's all good......I've really come to the realization that I just can not take corporate rock anymore, or even the ubiquitous 'classic rock channels'... I mean really: How many times a week do I have to hear 'Gimme 3 Steps eh'?? I googled up air AmeriKKKa , but from the page I found, all I came up with was differing payment plans to become whatever member level listener..... senor says "how's about Free" :wink: -------

Radio is about the only place you can get past the iron curtain over the truth imposed on us by the major media. You won't see much of the truth in the newspaper or on tv. There are right wing kooks and there are left wing kooks like Hill-Billy. I get most of my info from the internet. I didn't know you were in FL, Senor.
While I would agree there are not many diverse forms of info supplied by major media, I do think if one is to diligently look for print media, it can be found... Think New Republic or Punk Planet to name a few... Let's face it though.... Those of us of "our ilk" generally are of a certain liberal bias and mindset that can be viewed as a sort of counterpoint opinion to that of the major media conglomerate behemoths.. Truth is "we" also present a niche market that many publications do cater to; it's just numerically harder to locate.... Yep, senorsal has resided in in Fla for over a decade now.. (might be leaving shortly as the raging fires are literally less than 10 miles away at present).... Hmmm, maybe I'll try and suck up some of that free flowing FEMA money :wink: ------ sal

Speaking of smoke... yesterday I could barely see across the street because of it. I couldnt tell if the sun was shining or not. When I went to my car it was covered in ash. I've never seen it this bad before. Global warming is real.
