Hi everyone,
I'm currently coming to the end of a time in my life when it will soon be time for me to head off travelling and looking for my next direction.
With the time that I will have, I would very much like to take an introduction to ayahuasca.
I'm based in the UK but not adverse to travelling. But the problem is that I wouldn't know what to look for in a course, in the teachers or in the 'organisation' they're working through. I'm sceptical about a lot of the hard sell and money involved in some of these organisations. I was looking at the ones in Ireland (posted in this section) and France, and I was wondering how they measure up to courses on offer in South America.
I'd like to avoid the churches of ayahuasca as I’ve read that the preparation and the setting that they use tends to be quite diluted from the original/shamanic experience.
I was wondering whether anybody here has been on a course/retreat, or found other ways in to the ayahuasca realms - who did you choose to go with, why, how did it measure up to expectations, would you do it again?
Any advice? :)
Best wishes,
Marion.
