I'm semi computer illiterate so forgive me if I sound stupid, but is there any way to make it easier to post pictures and photos? Or is that way ahead of where we're at right now?
Hedon
Hey. Since you mentioned it I added an image gallery which you should be able to upload to using the link at the top left of the page ("Gallery").//http://spiritplants.yage.net/gallery
Feel free to rename the default categories and albums if need be.

Thanks a million, andy.
We'll need to know the limitations on images/bandwidth for the site, and maybe the various costs of each level? (I know images can eat up a lot of server space.)
Thanks again, Irish Andy.

No problem at all :)

Well currently this site has 250mb webspace and 5gb per month bandwidth which should be plenty for the time being. Normally a Yage.net site would cost $9.95/month for that package but thats not so important at the moment.
Regarding other levels of webspace and bandwidth, anything really is possible with the servers that I'm running, its just a matter of finding out what the score is when Eddy gets back. He's the only one right now who knows what size the previous site was and whats necessary to host it.
I'm more than happy to continue the present arrangement though and see how things progress.

Thanks for the answers, andy.
Btw, I'm interested in the idea of just growing this place natural-like. It would be great to at least have access to spf for archival purposes, but I shore wouldn't get my hopes up for that to happen.
Best case scenario would be eddy coming back and giving his site the attention it needs to function again. But I'd rather see the community run at the grass-roots level. And if that means starting over once again, so be it.
I must admit to having an admiration for the cultures/groups producing intricate art with colored sand, only to wipe the canvas clean for the next round of creation.
Kind of like music going down in the hear and now.
Just play it.

Sand Mandalas!!
In a single swipe...
The world goes blank.
What a place to start!
I like how this is shaping up, feels good in here.
Andy, thank you so much!
:D
thanks andy ... how does one use this gallery, it tells me i need to log into it?
the past is full, and the future is empty....digest it! :)
Hey Cass. I've added a few sample galleries there which don't require you to login so you can simply upload photos in whichever one you want. If you'd like more categories let me know which ones and I'll get them added. Please have a go at testing it if you get a chance and let me know how you get on.
Andy
Thanks again Andy. I found it really easy to use.
Happy clicking folks!
That's great news. We waited and waited at the old spf for photo uploading. I'm starting to like this already.

By the way, how do you link to a photo in the gallery so you can put it in a post? I uploaded my kratom but can't find anything to click on to get a link. I clicked properties but it won't let me copy and paste. Might be the fault of my OS.

Check out the Huntington Botanical Trichocereus santaensis photo I put up on page 2 of the cactus gallery.
