We saw the David Grisman Bluegrass Experience at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz last night. Aside from problems with the sound(bluegrass is tough to mix) the show was a true delight.
He has assembled a band of young bad ass pickers, way into the tradition. but not afraid to strech it into the Dawg realms from time to time. Good stuff.
Yea--- Glad ya had a good earfullh, Grass can be a gas when stretched into the "hound sound"---!! 8) -------------- sal

Cen, Dawg Music is Dawg Grisman's fusion of multiple roots ala his old buddy Mr. Garcia. I dig both the pure grass and all the other.
ahh that makes sense! bet it's some good stuff! i've become a fan of allison krauss and union station lately...their recent album "Lonely Runs Both Ways" and their work (sans AK) soundtracking for the Coen Brothers' film "O Brother Where Art Thou?"...
