Amanita muscaria season is starting here.
Does anyone have an interest?
If so I'll pick and dry some.

I hope you've got your drying technique down TooStoned.  Those suckers mush up quick if you don't get on em.... they is just loaded with water.  I think lizjah used to dry em with a fan in his oven at a low heat to some success but don't quote me on that one.

If'n you've got a good drying method, let me know.  am looking forward to them starting to pop up around here myself.  I think we've even got the pantherina's around p-town.

I borrowed TroutMask's dehydrater.  It seems to work well on its highest heat setting.  Yea, they are at least 90% water.   10 pounds wet came out to about 1 pound dry.

Oh yea, I found about 4 dried ounces of panthers around my house and Trout's.  They say they are even more "poisionous" than the flavivolvata varieties I have been finding.  I've been busy as of late with a few things so haven't had time to try them.  Will report back.
