A couple of nights ago, I had an extremely lucid dream. One that was intense and vivid enough to cause me to awaken, and then question the meaning of the thing.... I found myself sitting on the large back seat of a mass transit bus. I gazed around and half paid attention to whatever the other passengers were discussing amongst theirselves. All of the sudden, the bus pulls up to an intersection and opens the entry door; at which time, another bus, somehow begins barreling down the length of the bus, heading in my direction! I was stunned. Couldn't figure out how the bus could fit inside the original one... The bus turned at the last second, before crashing into me, and whooshed out the back door. As I sat there shocked, another passenger spoke.. "Damn man, that bus is doin' the into another dimension thing". At this point in the dream, I woke up....... So, while that was sorta strange and seemed to have no meaning I could understand, I just took it all with a grain of salt and went on with life... Last night, I had another 'bus dream'. I was walking down a familiar boulevard and was about to cross the street to meet a couple of friends.. They were standing there ready to say hi or whatever. As I stepped of the curb, I was immediately to find myself sitting on another bus... I was seated on the front seat, to the right of the driver. He glanced over to indicate I should have paid the fare before sitting down.. He was a black dude, looked like Ritchie Havens when he did Woodstock... I began to try and tell him I had no idea why I was on the bus, tried to ask him what was happening.. I tried to speak, but it was as if I was in a sort of sleep paralysis. Could not move nor utter a sound. He got up out of the seat and stood by the door. Somehow, the bus just kept chugging on through the streets, making turns, stopping at lights; all without the drivers help... The harder I tried to move or speak, the faster the bus began moving... The next thing I recall was the bus careening headlong toward a group of school children playing in the street. I tried desperately to get the drivers attention, as a crash appeared innevitable... The bus reached the point where it would have impacted the kids. Just then, the scenery outside the bus changed. It looked like a desolate old industrial setting, closed down factories of aging brick. There was a railroad spur and the bus pulled up to the crossing. The driver had vanished. The bus stopped beside the rail crossing and the doors of the bus flew open..... Then,,, I was awakened.................. Don't have the slightest clue as to what the two bus dreams mean, but uh, 'ole senor doesn't think he's likely to be hopping on a bus anytime soon :? :? --------------- senorsal
this is a thought...if you have another bus dream, try to remember to look at your hands, that often is a focussing point for waking up in dreams and taking control...then if you can do this, go for the steering wheel...take control...see if YOU can drive the bus...who knows where it is bound? bet it would be fun to find out ;)
  --- Great idea cen.... senor can jess see it now; kerouac-n-keysey takin tha back seats while senor careens 'Furthur' :D 8) ----
I have dreams where I find myself in the passgenger seat of a moving car, have to scoot over quickly and hit the brakes. Always works out okay. Not lucid.
I've been having these dreams for years. Not always the same car or place.
