I will be recieving 2g of 5X salvia extract and 1g of 20X salvia extract in a few days. I am very excited as I believe this will help me achieve my long awaited breakthrough.
I was wondering what is the prefered method of ingestion for this extract. I have heard some people put it on top of normal strength leaves and use a normal pipe or bong, but i have also heard of people using a meth/crack or bulb pipe and smoking it raw. I am looking to create as little amount of smoke as possible, but, whichever is the "best" way will by my route of ingestion.

As far as proper smoking technique: The idea is to fully burn the substance in the shortest time period you can manage, AND, to do so with a higher flame than what one would use for, say, MJ.... I's submit that the reason some would put their extract on top of regular leaf is merely to insure that there extract does not accidently fall through the bottom of whatever they are smoking out of, and thus become 'lost'..... BTW, be careful with that extract dude,,,,, It canbe a real mindbender 8) :wink: ------------------- sal----- edit, {you would, of course, smoke the highest strength extract you can get, without putting om plain leaf so as to minimize the amount of smoke}

While I don't discount that you have apparently done your "book research"... Believe it when most people tell you that the power and the uniqueness of a strong Salvia experience is such that it will be something you find to be , uh, shall we say mindblowingly different...... :wink: ---- Not to say you are not experienced in other realms, etc; it's just that those other realm do not seem to apply to a S. D. experience.... (Take this from one who has experienced virtually every substance know to elicit a buzz'enlightenment/what have you.... I agree. It is not a contest, of who knows how what effects what. For example, I lived in Japan and taught English for awhile. I studied Japanese for years before going, and studied the culture in and out for a LONG time before going there, but none of that prepared me in anyway for what I actually experienced when I was there.
In reference to this thread, and amount of studies from what you read or other psychoactive drugs, will NEVER, EVER, prepare you for Salvia. You have to actually do it alot to know about it I guess. It's effects are incomparable to anything else and are entirely unique. Best of Luck to you in your experimentation.
An additional note, I think and have know doubt you 'know' the power of this form of substance, but in this case, 'knowing' and actually 'Understanding' are GALAXIES apart seperated by a fine line the width of a hair.
I am in no way dismissing anything you read, or feel, or heard, so, please keep that in mind. But reading and talking to others about breakthroughs? It's just not enough man, not by a long shot. At least not for what you will actually experience. Looking forward to reading about your breakthrough and what your thoughts are when you actually have the breakthrough. I hope you get what you wanted out of it.

oh yeah, maybe you should stock up on Depends. I am a fairly experienced tripper, old time head like the good SenorS, but nothing prepared me for the 2x4 over the head effect of a tiny pinch of good 10x.
i have heard it is very similar in many ways to dmt. i have tried dmt before, a self extraction method from phalaris Ad. Everyone that i have talked to said, it is just as profound, but more natural hallucinations instead of such alien forms.
Alien Forms? What do you mean? I don't try DMT because I am taking an ssri/maoi right now, and am not remotely stupid enough to mix. Alien beings though, what was your experience? Was it scary? Did you smoke it? How long did it last? Was it worth it?
This is just my own subjective take on the 'ole is 1 drug sorta like another.... Yeah, some folks say that the DMT experience is similar to a Sally experience, but ,,,, nah, not 'fer me.... 'Ya see, while the DMT experience may well have certain visuals, beings, etc.... The (for me) breakthrough type Salvia experience are markedly different, in that while under Salvia, I am 'totally there', sorta in the Zen way of speaking. Whereas, with DMT, well, it's surely a bang up wierd journey, but I'm always aware of it's alien nature' never so caught up in the eternal moment, as happens to me repeatedly with Salvia....... well, smoked the dmt (with 3 other friends in my midst, as a trip sitter is recomended for your first time). Almost as soon as i exhaled my second hit, it hit me...everything around me started emmiting white light, everything was soooo bright. after admireing the purple, red and orange patterns that formed as all of the trees, i laid back and closed my eyes. I was then confronted by a small, black, humanlike crtitter, and a taller, lady like creature with green skin, a brown robe and red eyes. i was expecting them to speak, but all i heard was a loud, vibrating, high pitched noise...they came towards me and then just stood there looking at me, in a totally black atmosphere. After a few minutes of aww and amazement, i opend my eyes, to find the same (bright white) atmosphere i settled into...after looking around at my friends smiling, i just admired things, the trip wared off over the next six minutes. it was more shocking than scary, i kept my cool, and never really thought "boy i wish i was sober!", and yes it was worth it, and yes i would do it again...[moderator edit: I'm not sure of the laws in canada, but I removed potentially incrimating info here - not allowed on this board]

and wow, this post of me wondering if anyone could contribute some helpful hints and tips turned into me having to defend my level of understanding for such substances. lol :?
No worries......we're just a talkative bunch :roll: and part of the trouble, is that words REALLY fail with this one.......so we all like to talk AROUND the subject ....but its all good...
Yeah, I do find the Salvia experience wierd, very wierd in fact; but I must stress that to me, it is only wierd in that it (on the surface) seems to be so much removed from our day to day consensus reality.... I find it so striking that I, as well as many others feel that there is that certain 'something' about the experience that has us so enthralled that at one level we are going "Jeez I'm so, so altered", and yet, on another level, there is a sort of uniquely "Oh yeah, I know this feeling/ I've been here before/this is where I've always known the Big Answers come from" sort of awarenesss.... So yeah, very strange is Sally, but still, very much grounded in some very diffulcult to explain kinda way........... Ha! Bet that clear up everything eh :wink: ------------- sal
