Here is another tek I have on my hard drive.Hope it comes in handy for someone not wanting to work with as much material at one time.

Grind 100g of MHRB to fine powder using a glass blender.
Mix solution: 1/4 pint of White (5%)Vinegar to 28oz of Distilled Water.
Place in a 1.5L glass topped Crockpot & add the solution till MHRB is completly submerged, then turn on crockpot.
Use the rest of the solution for your second extraction.
2 extractions / each for 2 hrs. (afterwards clean crockpot for Hot Water Bath).
When you strain the second extraction press the plant fiber out into the container.
Strain both extractions in to large plastic container & place into the frig for 2 hours. This is called Cold filtering.
once both extractions are cold filtered, strain the red fluid into a 750ml bottle.
At the bottom of the cold plastic container you'll see gummy brown sediment, throw that away.
Now heat up your crockpot for the Hot water bath.
Use a small glass bottle & Basify with 1Tbsp Lye to 150ml Warm water.
Now add to your 750ml bottle & upend Slowly till it's all BLACK in color.
(turn cap to release pressure after each upending)
Leave about an inch at the neck of the 750ml bottle for your Naptha.
For each extraction place a small bottle filled with approx. 100ml Naptha in Hot water bath, get it good & hot. place the small bottle next to the 750ml bottle in the hot water bath.
(leave cap slighty loose to release pressure).
Then add & upend 30ml HOT naptha to the 750ml bottle.(release pressure each time) upend the bottle for a few minutes & Place in hot water bath. I've seen it seperate in 10 minutes when good & hot. Do three 30ml hot naptha extractions. Once seperated use a pipette or better yet an eye dropper to extract the naptha containing your spice.
Put all naptha extractions in small sealed mason jar, (first use a small glass to catch any black goo that might get in, that way you can remove it before adding to your mason jar).
Freeze sealed jar overnite till white crystal flakes have completely fallen out of solvent. Thoroughly dry flakes on coffee filter in funnel in cup. (you can save the solvent for further extractions). Final cold filter wash, chill a nip bottle mixed with 50% Clear ammonia / 50% Distilled water, slowly pour just a little over dry product on filter, then Fully Dry to room temperature. Keep the product in a cool dry place otherwise it may melt in the summer heat.

End Results for 100g: "The 750ml bottle should produce 570mg spice"
