I have started upon a project of writing lyrical poetry intended to be set to music, which i intend to set to actual music, record vocals and mix down and perhaps post links to at this site when i have made them.
Here is my first lyrical poem, i imagine it being set to some kind of dirge-like melody, i will be making it as an industrial techno/trance type thing.
Bright Morning Star
From far away, from deep inside; From what you show, and what you hide
Raven hair, darkest black; Alabaster, smooth shellac
Denied by fate the easy path; Dancing in the aftermath
Fire burning deep inside; Belching forth, open wide

Show me now my little clown; Fire burning, falling down
Arouse me, my darkened muse; Show me your shortened fuse
The heat of battle boiling hot; You teach me what I am not
In the midst of war and misery; And now I know, now I see

Rise and fall, and in is mixed
Love and War and Sex and Death
Bound forever, 'til our last breath
Bright shining star, darkest night; You bring forth my will to fight
I want you, and you want me; Forever after we shall be
Like a great wind blowing fire; The risk of loss is so much higher
Little candle we can make it; Just don't be afraid and don't fake it

Come with me, my shining one, Mischief beckons, mischief done
Tear down walls of words with me; Smash the grip of gravity
Together we are more than two; Fate has brought us work to do
Time is near, all is fear; Lets bring our fire, let them sear
