To the best fantazy movie yet, or one of, if i also count things like the Labyrithn and other classics, Narnia beats Harry Potter to a pulp. i am now waiting for the evil queen fights the dark lord of Lord of the Rings match!!!!
yet, as far as wolrd building is concerned, so far, Narnia is one of my favorite world. :D
Narnia, Narnia, Narnia..
From a fantasy story written by Clive Staples Lewis, aka Jack, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" in the 1950's, here comes another classic story with the traditional fight between good and evil. After an introdution of the heroes, the struggle is represented in a big battle, which of course the good side wins, and everyone is happy ever after.
that is, until the heroes of this story, 4 kids during ww2 which had been sent away by them mam as a evaquee orders, until they come out of the magic closet in which they had found adventures, and get back to being kids, staying at an excentric proffessor's old and large stone house.
next is part 2 of the Narnia series.
Inside the magic wardrobe, which little Lucy found, lays a world of mythological beings taken from moslty the greek pantheom. Lucy found the wardrobe entrance when thinking it would be a great hidding place during a game of hide and seek with her sister Suzanne, and her 2 brothers, Peter and Edmund.
Once the magic wardrobe entered, we meet faunes, centaures, gryphons, talking animals, a unicorn, kings and evil queens.
The movie takes us from a cold and dead winter to a lush and green spring after the evil, usurpatrice queen has been defeated, and the heroes are ready for more adventure.
in a way, the story could feel like 2 broths and 2 sis, getting into a big closet, smoking a fat one and tripping it out:
"wouh man, i am fighting big monsters, check it out!! i am gonna be king, and ride horses!!" and "woah dude, i just died in battle;..quick, put that magic powder on me, and save me", and "yes, we're the best!! hip hip hip hourray!!!", then get out of the closet and go.... woooooohhh man :P :P :P
