Anybody got a copy of this yet? I've had mine on order from B&N for 3 months and they just canceled it, because they haven't been able to get it in. I've heard Pendell had a book signing for it recently, but I still haven't seen it as available anywhere yet.
Well, ecampus.com says that they have a few copies available, but amazon and others say that it has not been released as of yet but are wiling to take your order and then ship it when it arrives. Who knows? Good luck and now you have me interested in getting a copy.
Yeah, I put in my order at ecampus this afternoon....... wasn't sure if they had it or not, but it was a better price than B&N had it.
Pretty damn good series really. The second book was so so, but hell, was still pretty interesting.

Well, I just finished the first time through on this book and I can't say it's as good as his first one in this series (or the 2nd one for that matter.) I mean, it's alwright and I'll read it again, but it's a little more flowery and rambling than the previous two. It's almost as if he doesn't have a whole lot of real life experience with the plants he discusses in this book, unlike the imression I got from reading the first two books. It seemed like he was relying more on data gathered from others in writing this one. I'm a little dissapointed, but then I had very high expectations and a more than casual interest in the subjects he discusses. Overall a good (if not somewhat introductory) book.

A wonderful book, better than the previous two due to subject matter alone. There was that really rambling secton on the history of the "evil eye," but all in all a great book and a beautiful guide to traversing the psycho-scapes at issue as an individual as well as in the social setting. He does delve a little deeper into the philosophy of alchemy in this one, but he relates it well to the "poison path" his trilogy pays homage to, imho anyway.
