Title: Security Rider for Performers
Post by: TooStonedToType on November 25, 2005, 12:04:43 PM
Discuss amongst yourselves. This is a rough draft. Recent events made me start thinking about this.

1. Security personnel must be easily identified by the audience and THE BAND.  Security personal must be clearly identified as private security personel.  Security personal must not carry deadly weopons nor bring them upon the venue property.  Security personnel may not possess stun guns, tazers, or other similar devices causing electric shock or pain. There shall be no police, nor shall security personal in police style uniforms, be in front of the stage prior to, during, or after the PERFORMANCE.  On or Off-duty police officers may NOT be used for private security duties. Any on or off-duty police officer allowed within the venue shall be easily identifiable as such by the audience and THE BAND.  Off-duty police officers must not be allowed to carry ANY weopon within the VENUE.  Again, off-duty police, or any person wearing police style unforms are to be prevented from being in front of the stage.  All security personnel in the VENUE must be clearly identified by wearing yellow shirts or jackets with the word "STAFF" printed in large type on both the front and back of the shirt.

2.  The backstage area, "green room", dressing rooms, trailers and all private areas reserved for THE BAND are to be considered the private area and property of THE BAND.  The VENUE may not grant access to such private band areas to any person for any reason.  All persons requesting access to said areas, must have a backstage pass designated in advance by THE BAND.  There shall be no exceptions.  Security shall be provided by the VENUE to assure compliance with this provision.

3.  There shall be no recording devices, of any type, allowed anywhere in the VENUE, except those provided by the BAND.  The VENUE may not itself nor shall it aallow any third party to place recording devices within the VENUE, for any reason, without prior, written approval from THE BAND and its management.  Should the VENUE allow or place recording devices within THE BANDs private areas, this contract is considered breached by the VENUE and subject to immediate termination.  Should the VENUE be subject to any legal proceeding or supeona which could potentially cause violation of this  provision, the VENUE must make the "existance" of such proceedings known to THE BAND and its management or clearly state it cannot comply with the anti-recording provisions of this contract.  Any recordings made within the VENUE, by any person or entity, is the property of THE BAND.

4.  Should security be inadequate, in violation of the provisions in this contract or the audience is too unruley,  THE BAND, in its sole discression, due to concerns for the safety or wellfare of THE BAND and/or the audience may cancel or stop the PERFORMANCE at any time.  Should a PERFORMANCE be cancelled or stopped due to security concerns the VENUE must still perform upon this contract and fullfill the obligations contained within (The VENUE must pay THE BAND as if the PERFORMANCE was performed).
