Title: Hoodia
Post by: RifeHeretic on November 11, 2005, 07:16:51 PM
Heya all,

I'm looking for large amounts of Hoodia Gordhoni (sp) seeds for a commercial grow. I will be able to offer them here for cheap once they reach a good size.

Also looking for maybe 10-15 salvia cuttings. Not sure when i would be able to accept those. So I'll post later when my Humidity chamber and Light room are done.

Thanks all,

Rife

I have hoodia seeds and some small plants. Hoodia is the "diet cactus" for those who don't know. It's a succulent which when eaten takes away the appetite and people can go a long time without food.

How many seeds do you have? How large are your plants? Are you willing to trade for anythings?

Thanks,

I have over 100 seeds, I'd have to look to see how many. How many do you need? My plants are small and I just have a few I might let go of. Trading is good but there aren't that many things I'm looking for. Maybe if you had something unusual. Otherwise, perhaps a cash offer?

Sorry, I would have responded sooner but Mozilla doesnt seem to like this site (cant log in).

I'm looking for, maybe, 50 seeds. How much would you want for them?

You know, I've had similar problems logging in from time to time. Sometimes it just won't let me login and the next day, no problem. That's happened a few times now.

50 hoodia seeds, I'd let go for $30. That would need to be cash or money order. I can't guarantee the germ rate but I've been getting around 80%. Just sow them very shallowly in sandy soil or cactus soil and keep moist. Most will come up in 2 weeks and the rest in a month or so. Don't keep the soil wet, they like to get really dry between waterings. Keep them out of direct sun until they get bigger.

Hmm, that's not bad seeing the current prices of the rare seed. I'll get back to you when I get a light and have everything set up.

Thanks,
