Title: washing roots
Post by: fuzz on November 09, 2005, 03:58:05 AM
here is a nice surprise.

i have a salvia plant that was basically dying, the leaves were falling out, and the stock of the plant was shrinking aways. the plant is being grown inside . a garderner friend came over and said: "its dead, eaten by a fungus; let it go". so of course i did not listen to my friend, and deciding there was nothing to loose with the plant, i took the plant out of the dirt, washed the roots, let it stand in fresh water for a day, rinsed the roots a few times over, and replanted the plant in a new pot, and new dirt..

its been a couple weeks, and its now growing new fresh and green sprouts out of seemingly dead stock:)

That's a pretty nice story, Fuzz. Do you still think it was fungus?
