The Java chat link isnt working atm apparently, but you can use an irc client such as mirc to connect via irc.bctel.org:6667

I opened port 6667 on my firewall but it's not that... any suggestions?

that's where to go. i can't remember where that is served up from, my memory tells me that is no-ip.

anyway. go there. that is where we all are. irc.bctel.org points there sometimes but you are almost guaranteed goodness if you use kemp's dynamic dns redirection. about 99.9% guaranteed even!

I can't seem to go to either kemp's or the normal server.  The normal server just says that my password is invalid, no idea what that is all about.  Kemp's server just doesn't try to connect period.

Ok, going to irc.bctel.org is working again though still pointing to my server for now.

UPDATE: NVM, I feel a little bit stupid now.  It was because I had my password entered and it was redirecting to kemp's server.

ok, for everyone else who isn't here: kemps.gotdns.org is the address to use. i think kemps dns rolled over his number and the dns address on the irc.bctel.org is lagging or lost.

I think cassie got ahold of nitro and had him redirect his url to there. That or he is in the process of doing so.

I'm sure when kemp wakes up he will redirect his dns as well.

Once again that's irc.yage.net #spiritplants

Default Port: 6667
SSL Port: 6697

That would be +6697 for anyone using mIRC.

Services are not up yet but should be when oghran gets a chance to tweak them.
